WSL2 Woes
Windows still does not play nicely with Linux
Well, sorry for the long delay in writing. Between the previous article and this one, Windows decided to silently delete my WSL2 virtual hard drive during a regular update.
This is a known bug. From 2019.
Luckily, I had my synology backup that I was able to restore. Get a backup going, everyone. Read my article about effective backups and how I back things up.
But this is unacceptable and I'm looking into replacing my entire gaming PC (where I also do fun side projects) with linux and Proton. If the Steam Deck can change, I can. I'll start with making a partition on a bootable portable SSD.
If it works well enough, I'll migrate entirely.
In the meantime I'm working on a neat project for a mobile app that will not be open-source (at least not immediately, I won't rule out the option) but that will integrate nicely with my Zettelkasten dreams. So that will very slightly delay the Zettelkasten project stuff.
Worry not though, plenty more content coming. Zettelkasten will continue.
